Our Thoughts
It appears, these days, that one can be a Christian without living for Christ or, better put, without Christ living in them or being formed in them. It’s odd because it’s the ‘Christ’ that gives meaning to the word ‘Christian’. We cannot make our desires/dreams/ambitions the central focus of our lives and have Jesus on the periphery like we are the sun and He is one of the many planets revolving around us. Heaven forbid! Jesus must be the sun and everything else in our lives revolving around Him – His will and His way.
Worse still, the Church seems to have taken her eyes off of the Author and Finisher of her faith. The bride has become so entangled with the temporal affairs of this world that she has forgotten her Bridegroom who expects to find her ready in her pure, white gown on His return. ‘Church’ has become mini empires with king pins who are adored by their minions and sycophants…..whose words are often elevated above God’s own.
We must return to our first love. We must enthrone Jesus in our hearts, our homes, our workplaces, our churches, our communities and our nation because it’s truly ALL ABOUT JESUS.
